Job Description
About: Seeking a sharp, active, and coachable individual to support an amazing 15-year-old boy. He has profound, non-speaking autism, excellent gross motor skills, and strong daily life skills. He communicates by spelling on a letterboard.
The Role: This is not a passive caregiving job. You will accompany him on community outings, support his independence, and act as a sensory-motor coach. Crucial requirement: You must be willing to undergo specialized training to become a certified/trained Communication Regulation Partner (CRP) to support his letterboard communication.
Ideal Candidate: Background in speech therapy, kinesiology, psychology, or education is a plus, but a belief in the competence of nonspeaking individuals and a willingness to learn is required. Must have reliable transportation to Lucas.
