Introduction
This AAHA-accredited small animal and exotic hospital in Maple Valley, Washington is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join its established team. The practice is both Fear Free Certified and a Cat Friendly Practice, providing comprehensive care for dogs and cats alongside birds, reptiles, exotics and pocket pets. Both experienced veterinarians and new graduates are welcome, with genuine mentorship available for doctors earlier in their careers and a collaborative environment where clinicians can continue developing their individual interests.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 7:00pm and Saturday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, with Sundays closed. The wider opening hours allow the veterinary team to share coverage while supporting a varied caseload across preventative, general practice and more urgent presentations.
Role Description and Responsibilities
As an Associate Veterinarian, you'll provide comprehensive care across preventative medicine, sick visits, internal medicine, dentistry, surgery and urgent and emergency cases. The hospital's diverse patient base also provides opportunities to work with birds, reptiles, pocket pets and other exotic species alongside traditional canine and feline medicine. You'll have autonomy over your cases while collaborating closely with experienced colleagues, with mentorship available for new graduates and support for veterinarians looking to develop particular clinical interests.

The hospital is AAHA accredited, Fear Free Certified and recognised as a Cat Friendly Practice, with the wider team trained in Fear Free principles to create a calmer experience for patients and clients. You'll join an established multi-doctor team with varied clinical backgrounds and interests, supported by a culture centred around collaboration, continued learning and doing what is right for each patient. The broad caseload and range of species provide plenty of clinical variety while allowing veterinarians to practise within a supportive, medicine-focused environment.
